Lunch and Learn - What Do You Know About the New Tax Law?

On Friday, December 22, 2017, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was signed into law. The law represents one of the most significant revisions to the Internal Revenue Code in more than 30 years. Many provisions included in the Act took effect on January 1, 2018, and will impact virtually all U.S. taxpayers, including individuals, businesses, exempt organizations and trusts and estates.

George S. “Chip” Storey, a Partner in the Houston office of BKD LLP will provide a primer on the new law and how it affects you and your business. He will discuss steps taxpayers can take for 2017 and 2018 tax obligations.  Topics to be discussed will include:

  • New tax rates
  • Changes for individuals
  • Changes for businesses
  • The new 20% deduction for qualified business income
  • Depreciation
  • And more

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. NO WALK IN's. LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE.
